Mirchandani & Partners, established in August 1990, is a boutique family law firm based in Singapore that specialises in cross-border matrimonial matters. The firm works with a global network of lawyers to assist clients around the world from its Singapore office.

The principal partners of the firm have close to 40 years of combined experience in matrimonial matters. The firm was listed by the Doyles International Group as one of the five leading firms in Singapore in 2015 in the areas of cross-border and Singapore family matters.
Since Singapore became a signatory to The Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, Mirchandani & Partners has argued the highest number of child abduction cases in Singapore. Mirchandani & Partners is on the panel of the Reunite International Child Abduction Centre and has worked in tandem with Reunite UK on matters involving cross-jurisdictional child abduction.
Areas of Practice
Mirchandani & Partners advise and act for both Singaporean and international clients alike in all issues pertaining to family and matrimonial law. The firm is adept at dealing with complex issues involving conflicts of law, multi-jurisdictional disputes and children’s disputes such as international child abduction, child custody, guardianship, adoptions and surrogacies. Spousal disputes that the firm has handled include maintenance, marital assets, tracing of assets and defending and attacking trust structures. The firm also advises clients on establishing family trusts, charitable trusts, wills, probate and real estate matters in Singapore including purchases and sales of properties.

Poonam Mirchandani
Partner
Poonam Mirchandani has been in private practice for 32 years and has been specialising in international family law for about 20 years. She was listed by Doyles International Group as one of the five preeminent lawyers in Singapore, and is a member of the Family Law Practice Committee of the Singapore Law Society. She is also a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers, a commissioner of oaths, a notary public, a collaborative lawyer, an accredited mediator and a child representative who has been appointed by the Family Justice Court in a highly acrimonious custody matter.
Ashok Chugani
Partner
Ashok Chugani has been in private practice for 30 years and has been practising international family law for about 18 years. He is a member of the Probate and Succession Planning Committee of the Singapore Law Society. He is an accredited family mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre and an Associate Mediator of the Law Society Mediation Scheme. Mr Chugani has also been a family law practice facilitator with the Singapore Institute of Legal Education.
Both partners are accredited collaborative family lawyers, on the Singapore Family Justice Court’s panel of child representatives, members of the Singapore Academy of Law and part of the panel of lawyers conducting free legal clinics at AWARE.
