Arbitration Clause

Parties who desire to arbitrate under the LSAS may insert into their contract an arbitration clause in the following terms:

“Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Contract, including any question regarding its existence, validity or termination, shall be determined by arbitration in Singapore in accordance with the LawSoc Arbitration Rules in force at the commencement of the arbitration.”

Parties who do not have an existing arbitration agreement in their underlying contract may still opt for LSAS arbitration after their disputes arise, if that is intended by both parties. They may do so with an agreement on the following terms:

“We, (1) ………………………….; and (2) ………………………….., hereby agree that all disputes and differences arising out of or in connection with: [Describe the underlying contract or subject matter that gives rise to the dispute] be determined by arbitration in Singapore in accordance with the LawSoc Arbitration Rules in force at the commencement of the arbitration.”
